X5 Slowly Falling Apart
I seem to have problems with my X5 that no one (or at least none of the forums that I have read) seem to be had by many other owners! I am looking for help on some of these issues so I am just gonna list off the issues I am having with my X5..My X is a 2002 4.4 Sport Package with 90,000 miles on it.
1) I am having the problem with my rear suspension. Frequently but not every time my passenger side rear will be much lower than the rest of the car, this problem is solved every single time when I proceed to press the unlock button on my key the right side slowly rises back up to what appears to be a normal height. Only once have I been prompted with the "Self Leveling Suspension Inact".
2) My Driver seat memory has become inactive..the Red Light comes on when I hold down the M key but I cannot seem to get it to save any of the settings or recall to previous settings. Not only that but randomly about once a month the controls on my seat with do the direct opposite of what I am pressing..for instance when I press the seat back forward, it will recline and so on and so fourth. I have checked and replaced the fuses with no luck there.
3) My X has stopped the "chirp" that it used to do when I would lock the car, as well as the alarm has become a silent alarm only flashing my lights. Also the alarm goes off randomly without a reason, and sometimes about 10 times in an hour. Many nights I wake up to my X5's lights flashing outside my window at 3 am:dunno: and I turn off the alarm, lock the car only to have this cycle keep on going about 10 times with a minute or so in between.
Any help with these issues will be great..thanks!
