Maybe where you heard it,they are also clever than Bosch,who specify 95AH 800A and 100AH 830A for the X5 3.0D and from 70AH 640A to 100AH 830A for the petrol versions!
FYI,the Bosch ref.you posted earlier (S3013) is NOT specified in the Bosch application,for the 3.0D!Only for petrol versions!
Like I said ,I got mine from my dealer for cost reason.Woud have preferred the Bosch as it should hold my battery longer.

@Powers1 well the bosch dealer out here also specified the 100ah battery despite the realoem site mentioning 90ah, hopefully it will be ok and not cause issues, cos i too have read elsewhere electronics are funny if you put the wrong battery in....i will ask em if they have the 90a anyway and see

Powers1 I got the same issue, dealer out here for bosh says 100ah for the 3.0d whereas the realoem says 90ah, hoping the 10ah extra wont give me electircal gremlins like i read also on other sites

I have Bosch, always use bosch. its good on my X5.
