Radio Dead - Please Help

All,

Yesterday i found out that the roadio in my 4.8is is DEAD, on pressing the knob the light next to it does not switch on, however the NAV works but no radio or BT...I checked the following fuses 72 & 73 and they'r fine, now it does say to check fuse 7 as well, does anyone know where fuse 7 is?
Also on my searches it said to check for water around the radio module, i know it's around the spare tire does anyone have a pic handy so i know where to look for the radio module before i start pulling things off.

Also assuming the worst how much does it cost to fix this issue?

Thanks all for your help.

Unless the BM module is dead, the fuse is usually blown. You can find it in the trunk in the right hand side compartment.

Fuse is a couple of cents. Another BM, depends on if you have BM24 or BM54, round or flat pins. You might wanna check ebay for prices.

As about the pics, there recently was a thread on the same issue where pics were posted.

im the expert now. fuse 7 is in the glove box. you have to release the glove box piston and open it all the way.(so everything falls out) look up and open the fuse panel door. i think it's a 5 amp fuse. as far as the radio its under the spare and under the air compressor if you have air ride. take off the 2/ 13mm nuts and 2 bolts that hold the X the compressor sits on. anything else not working? also in there is the air suspension module, tow module, and parking distance module. one 10mm nut holds the radio in. i paid $300 for a used radio on ebay. there are guys asking $600 for them. hopefully its the fuse.

You may try unhooking the battery for about half an hour, if you haven't already. Our radio was doing the same thing, nav and computer worked just fine, but nothing working audio related. All our fuses were fine, when I hooked the battery back up and cranked it up and low and behold, radio and CD changer work like new.

yes i was going to say try a reset. disconnect both cables. touch them together then wait 1/2 hr. hook them back up see what happens. youre gonna have to do that if you replace the radio too
