If that the case, you have a bigger problem; sorry to say.

I doubt Bavauto sells incompatible fluid, I bught my Esso from them back then and now it's labelled Mobil-ATF LT71141 (but still has the same formulation) which fluid did you buy from Bavauto? It'd be helpful for others to know/avoid.

It is the same fluid as you have listed above. If it's not the same as bmws then bavauto lied to me. I believed them because it has the same exact part number as bmw

OK, I think I (or we) jump to conclusion too fast here and ignoring what Sunny5280 has been saying on post #4, how do we know your "stutering" issue is really transmisison problem?

The only known issue (that can be fixed w/o rebuild):
- low/incompatible fluid, we know this is not your case.
- temp sensor fail (replace harness 24341423719).
- speed sensor fails (replace harnes 24341423719 ).

Does problem persist regarding operating temp? if yes scratch theory #2
Does problem exist only at certain speed like downshift or going to sport at certain speed)? if not scratch theory #3

Can you go to open parking space and put the car in reverse and go 20-30MPH to see if stutering exist (reverse would bypass clutch A), if no stutering then maybe the snap ring that retain clutch A is slowly leaking and your only recourse would be rebuilding the trans. This is a known vulnerable point with the 5HP24.

Though contact Swissfrank, he is one of the experts on ZF 5HP24 here.

Just trying to help but looks like it's beyond my level of expertise, so GL.

I'd like to add the valve body is another component that can be replaced without a rebuild.

This stuttering only happens when the car is warmed up to operating temp. or damn close to it. There is a stuttering throughout the whole vehicle at low rpms( 1500-2k) in between 20 and 30 mph which i believe to be the transition from 2nd to 3rd gear. The car will shift fine if above 2k rpms and does not have the same symptoms in sport mode. ????

It was the torque converter badly rebuilt in my case.
