US / UK fuel comparision

I just filled up from the fuel light and managed to get £111.62 in my 3.0i X5.
I've never put that much fuel in a car before! Insane.

That's $178.23 according to the currency conversion on xe.com

How much do you guys on the other side of the pond spend filling up your X5's?

UK fuel tax + VAT = higher cost per gallon, than US.
But, you get that all 'back', right?! ;)

Nah, we don't even worry about getting anything back from our government, we're really happy paying through our arses for everything.

Besides the weather here more than makes up for it! :bustingup

 ...thought so. We have similar situ here in TheColonies; just a few years behind your 'curve', but we are catching up. The weather however, is slightly better, depending upon season and location, in my experience.

Swings and roundabouts. Fuel is cheap, but it is difficult to find a decent steak and kidney pie or a proper black pudding, and the Guinness comes in cans.

I don't drink 12 beers a year anymore, but any medium sized metro area in the States will have a bar or two that has the Liquid Bread on tap. :D

I thought G was Ireland, not England... ;)

When I was knocking down beer by the barrel, I actually preferred hand pulled bitter, when I was in England.
