Shaking loose side folding mirror torx bolt pics

I read through several threads, but none had pics. As a newer owner I'd like to have found some, but the search terms didn't find any searching "loose, shaking, mirror" in any combination.

These are the 4 small torx that you have to tighten if your mirror is loose or shaking. Simply pop the bottom circular panel off the mirror housing to access them. Removing the mirror housing cover is not necessary.

OK, I am guessing that this is how so many mirrors are being stolen cleanly... I'm thinking I should change out my bolts to something non-standard. What are the specs for the bolts?

Not sure of the thread size/pitch, but it would be metric for sure. You can likely just pull one out in the parking lot of a hardware store and bring it in to match up. Maybe switch to security torx or some other security bit?

Yes, this is what I'm thinking about. In the long run, if someone cannot easily swipe a mirror, they might instead destroy it out of anger. But I would rather that, then let them get away with the clean theft.

Sweet ! A loose passenger mirror was about halfway down my to-do list. Just been out and done it :D

FWIW, it was a T10 on mine.
