From the color, it seems engine oil...you have the 3.0?

It looks like engine oil. I have the same situation underneath there, and ended up valve cover gasket blown during the CCV failure(Thank god the weak point is the gasket). After the failure, it reminds me my car was all time oily like yours.
Again, it could be valve cover gasket, if yours is pre-2003 (I'm just guessing......:D) Good luck! |
Def. oil. Would be strange to have CCV failure in Miami.
Could be gasket or a host of other possibilities...suggest you bring it to indie/dealer ASAP especially if you are not a car DIY person. |
well not really a diy person but willing to learn and try. i was advised to clean it up and then see if it leaks and still under there that way i know what the problem is so i will do that and see what happens..

You ever get this problem resolved, or did you end up taking it somewhere? I'm having the same kind of issue, cept a little more in depth, as I might have something stuck in one of my cylinders actually. Where in Miami?

I concur with the above, def engine oil. Common failure points are the valve cover gaskets, esp if they have never been changed. The seals become very brittle and fail. Or could but the hoses that go from the OSV to the ridgid oil feeder tube. Those are so close to the engine, well actually run under the intake, so they get hot, melt and fail. if you take the front cowl off, you can get a light back there and see. it will be tight, but should yield enough room to see the hoses.

Looks like rear main seal is leaking. Too much oil was put in your vehicle during oil change

I'll presure wash the underisde, it's hard to say with that much oil overtime what's leaking but I can almost bet money it's Valve-cover gasket, maybe upper timing chain gasket as well. |
