Personally, I think painting stock calipers is ricer. I wouldn't do it to my own vehicle, as it removes the stock/OEM look. One of the many reasons I purchased a BMW is it has a sporty look from the factory, and thus doesn't need cosmetic modification.

Caliper covers are a cosmetic modification. You are recommending them.

So it's ok to put covers on but not to paint them.

Got it.

Makes no sense.

that was a joke, as caliper covers are the ultimate in ricer

thanks

Good luck on your search. If you go the paint route post up some after pics so we can check them out.

having been this route on my e28, caliper paint is IMHO necessary/preferable with open spoke wheels.

the best option? i would order a set of remanufactured calipers on the cheap from rock auto. send them to get powdercoated or paint them yourself. swap em out with the originals and send the old ones in for credit.

Seriously ??? It's not even the right font.

I need to do mine some time, some wire brush action and then a couple of coats of silver Hammerite will do the job.
