Real OEM and ECStunning show it as a regular rubber mount. It could explain the clicking, not the oil. If it is the mount, like in my case. The engine seems rough on idle and without accessories on. Turn on lights it gets better. Turn on AC, the car is smooth as a proper german machine. Symptoms for mounts. And this is standing still. |

I'm sure they're separate instances. The clicking I've pretty well decided its the outer cv in the axle. The oil I'm not sure about. I'm thinking ccv because it sends like the oil I'd coming from the right spot for that but down here in Texas it doesn't seem like we get cold enough for that so they oil I'm still looking for the source.

Also rockauto.com sells a lot of oem parts for the e53. I think I remember seeing them on there for around $60/ea. with a lifetime warranty.

what happen is the engine motors are lose then the engine seal fails from the movement.the oil leaks is engine oil not grease......which is what is in the cv,
I just had my front axles rebuilt and new boots, and there was still a clicking noise, ,found that the mounts where bad, hey yours might be different, does,nt hurt to check them. |

Not saying you guys are wrong, and I'll check the motor mounts just to be sure, but I will be amazed if it's the mounts and the new axle doesn't fix the clicking. Its too consistent in rhythm and angle of speed of the wheel that it almost seems like it has to be the axle.
