Power Reclining Rear Seats Retrofit!

Hello,
I want to add Power Reclining Rear Seats retro. I have alrady managed to get Moving Motors & Buttons. But I have problem. I have found both rear connector switches for Buttons, However I only found One, Passenger side Power connector, Which goes to the Motor. On the Drivers side, there is no switch! Also I don't know where to find Buttons switch on the headliner. Also I want to know if Relay is needed or not.
Please help guys, my whole trunk is taken apart, I have to finish it soon. It's an 00 4.4i. I have also some pictures, If anyone needs I can post them now, I will post them later anyway.

Thank you and I am hoping for some answers.

the switches on pre-facelift vehicles are on the center roof dome.

I'm surprised your 2000 X5 is prewired for the motors. The power reclining rear seats weren't available until the 2002 model year (in the US at least). X5s lost height adjustable rear seat belts that year.

As I know, All X5s are prewired for every single option. I asked BMW Electrition, which showed me a switch, where the wires are missing/out, and they connect and complete the need. I have alrady found those, waiting for my Heated replacement seats and going to istall those at the same time. Now I am thinking, Should I install Interior Buttons like it is supposed to be? Or should I put them on as Facelifts have it. Also should I replace my Rear seatbelts with non-adjustible once? I need your opinions.
Thnx

My question is, do you really have to have reclining rear seats?

Nik 04-11-2011 03:47 PM

No! But, I get the motors and wires for free, and friend is doing work for me, so why not? More comfort for rear passengers. I also got my Rear Heated seats retro with help and seats for free.
