Battery Question
Hey guys this a question concerning my 2002 330i.
For the last two days my car has been having trouble turning over. I think it's the cold weather 37degrees...cold for houston. I dont know if I need to replace the battery or charge it or what. I tried to take off that cover in the trunk that conceals it but i could not. After taking off those plastic screws the back of the cover would not budge how do you take it off. Well anway I called the dealership and they said its probably the battery. He quoted me 264.00 for the battery and to install it. Cmon...now does that sound right? Cant I go get it recharged somewhere free or get a new battery somwhere. Does it have to be OEM BMW? |

Thank you. I have been researching...and I found that a AutoZone Duralast 49-DL Battery will work it has a vent since it is in the trunk. I hope it will work 250.00 bucks for a battery what is it made of gold or what?
:ouch: I just called Auto zone and they say the duralast 94R will work. hmmmm... |

In all the forums they say to go with a Duralast 49-DL. Auto zone has it for 65.99 with exchange should I keep my OEM battery?
|
Well hell I just called batteries plus and they have the oem battery for $88.99. part no. SLI94R-LI
Thank you a bunch guys!! X5 World rocks! |
I have the Duralast and it works fine, either way, it's cheaper than $250 from the Stealers! In my neck of the woods, Autozone checks out your battery and charging system first, and then install your battery, all for free! Can't beat that deal. Good luck.
