crackling noise on radio
hi does anyone have an idea what causes crackling noise when radio and even cd is on, does not do it all the time but can varey in noise ! today crackling even when radio/cd was off so only way to stop noise was to remove 30a fuse.
is it the amp or is there something else to check? (2004 x5):dunno: |
I had the same problem, it was water in the wheel well where the amp and BT is, I took them out and sprayed it with something similar to WD-40 and it works now, (as directed by weasel).
|
thanks, i have checked in boot well and all seams dry, do you think it could just be moisture/condensation inside the amp..........did you open up the amp to spray it?
|
Yes I did, there was moisture in the connection too, water was dripping onto it and caused some corrosion, but after spraying it with the moisture remover (WD40), it worked great.

thanks for the help, i will try at weekend
