AUDI Vs. BMW
 

I am a long standing BMW owner with over 15 BMWs to my credit. My father-in-law swears by Audi and another friend of mine converted from an M3 to an S4 Quattro and has never looked back...

However, the E60 M5 v10 is another animal; The performance of the E60 M5 is nearly equal to the R8, as I have witnessed both first hand.

Congrats on your "transmission fix", Wally. Your M5 is beautiful and I am jealous... I will have to get a few Castlelights franchises up and running before I can get mine. :cool:

Thanks, you are correct the M5 is something else. That kind of performance from a 4 door saloon is crazy. It can be so mild and then just turn into a ferocious beast. I call her Helga. But on a side note I am getting my X back this week and as funny as it sounds I am excited to have her back. I miss my X.

I really enjoy my X too. Sure there are more modern E70s out there and the X5M, but there is something special about my 4.6is that makes me want to keep it for at least another 100k miles; I think it has classic and aggressive styling that I will not tire of easily... much like the e34, a 3.0cs (or ANY "M" car).

The one thing about the Audi R8 V10 (and I'm quite sure the M5 does this too) is the feel of the car under acceleration; Launching hard from a 5mph rolling start is like getting rear-ended by a large SUV doing 60+mph while (you're) sitting at a stoplight! ....ENJOY!:D
