Thanks for the response, Gixxerboy. Since the set imsello bought includes the rotors that shouldn't be an issue if I have 20" wheels, correct? So I'd have to buy 4.6 calipers in addition but would that make it work?

Why not just buy the ones for your car and not worry about the calipers?

Thanks for the 4.4 link, Mike. One reason is that the 4.6 brake pads are ceramic. Another is that, AFAIK, the rotors/pads are larger and will provide better braking performance.

How about an update 4 months in? I need front brakes and am thinking about an e-bay package

FWIW,

I bought a set of front disks/pads for the Tundra V8 from these guys on Ebay for $104. (Tirerack would have been at least double that). I am 2000 miles in on this set and they performs as well or slightly better than the ATE pads/OEM rotors I had before. These dust a bit more than the ATEs (not that I care) but otherwise things still look fine. The Tundra weighs about 2.5 tons (empty) I believe and, so if anything, these need to handle more load.

Certainly this is no comp for a 4.8iS but maybe at least reference point.
