What I was suggesting is using a variation of that module to turn off the parking lights. It's simply software programming to do just that.

I just took apart a couple of 04 headlights. They are much more difficult to take apart than the older assemblies. They are also much more complicated on the inside with lots of wiring and motors for the adaptive lights. To acomplish what you are trying to do, you have to re-wire the angel eyes inside of the headlight assembly and create a separate contact to switch on just the angel eyes when you want them on. Check with Umnitza or customangeleyes.com. I'm sure they can help you.

I recommend you come to Canada, have a dealer here do the procudure for you (should take an hour), then you can go back into the USA. :)

King - technically, couldn't I wire two extra bulbs from my sidemarkers and put those in there so they just blink when I use turn signals, and then stash the two actual parking light bulbs in the engine bay somewhere? Do you think that would work?

A guy did it on his 3-series, think it would work here too?

Getting the sidemarkers to also run the parking light may draw too much excess current and could cause a fault reading to appear from the on-board computer. But, you can use the sidemarkers to control a relay that powers the parking light...that might work much better.

The dealers in Canada can actually do that for BMW owners?! :wow:

By the way, how much do they charge us for doing this?

It'd be hard to do since the sidemarkers are too far away from front turn signals.
And there's no wire at the back of the front turn signal plugs. (unlike 3 series) :(
