i dont have a garage so i put a stick on heater pad on the oil pan and a battery blanket.seems to do the trick no hard starts at all.but ya periodic ccv valve checks.gota love 35 below...

What brand oil Pan heater did you use? That seems like a great idea

i got it from a place in edmonton,i cant remember the name,but there are lots around.woverine heaters is a good one.an auto motive place in town here had them to.it does work good,40 below and the snow under the oil pan is melted in the morning...

Also noted that the passenger side valve (rubber seal) is slightly cracked. Ordering one today from Bavauto. There was some hard oily goo that I cleaned out with a rag.

You means that the N62 has not the oil separator in the back and just that 2 valves over the valve covers? I'm confuse too, could you help me?

Now I am confused as well. Does the '05 E53 4.4i have the N62 motor or the M62? I have been searching for an oil separator online sonic could replace the one on my X but have been having difficulty finding one. I am looking to order the CCVs and replace them this weekend.
