BMW X5 2004 Front Bumper

Hi,

In the below pic is there a cap missing. This is on the nearside

The offside has a cover. Not sure if the nearside should also have a cover or is it an air duct

Cover?

Those look like brake-cooling ducts. They are both OPEN on mine.

I went to the dealer and the diagrams showed it having it on one side only so not sure whether they are supposed to be like this or covered.

Anyone else got any ideas

All 3.0D E53,mine including, have both covered.
I dont have a V8 X5 here to check but Last5oh,has a point ,they maybe to cool the brakes on the V8 models.
Hopefully ,someone else will confirm.
