I'm lost...don't know what to tell you...but below is the gong (BMW part # 65 81 8 360 995 now replaced with new part # 65 81 9 155 105):

QSILVER7 thanks , i really appreciate all your help , i do know how the gong looks or should look like , i cant see such a thing, hence i took these pics for terminator or you to maybe point out where it should have been or could be hidden , the thing none of the technicans in bmw garages in the south of england have a flippin clue where it could be , wonder if i ever will hear my pdc or a chime .........

Is the 3 pol plug in the pic above normally attached to anything when everything is put back together? If not, it looks like it would be the 3 pol plug that fits 3 pol socket (just above the 11 digit BMW part # 65 81 8 360 995) in the gong that you're missing. (see pic below)

i see what you are saying , the three pol plug is just there , i didnt do anything to it , so i guess i will buy a gong , plug it in and watch my ears ? i will let you know , thank for pointing it out ! may the x be with you
