the gong sound (need help please)

I need help. I think my gong is malfunctioning. It works when things are low or a fault is triggered like (low oil, check brake, etc) It does not work for memo or speed limit alert. I put a scanner on the X today and the mid had 2 errors even after I cleared it. Gong T1 and Gong T2. (pa soft 1.40.9) From my research the gong is one speaker possibly 80 ohms.

It still works for the T3 tones and frequencies so how do I troubleshoot it? I have verified T1, T1 and T2, dont work. I have not verified if T2 works as it has not been that cold.
----
from wds site
The hour signal T1 reminds the user of radio news broadcasts or traffic announcements with three short "beeps" (1 kHz).

In the case of the temperature warning T2, one single gong (1 kHz) is triggered which warns the driver of low outside temperatures (ice hazard).

The short code signal is triggered by the tone T1 and T2 (750 Hz). It indicates to the user that the programmed speed limit has been exceeded or it draws attention to a code function still active when starting.

Warning signal T3 warns the user by means of a long tone (1 kHz), followed by the gong sounding. It acts as the acoustic signal for the light check module (LCM

These acoustic functions cannot be triggered by the instrument cluster electronics (IKE ) but rather they are a functional part of other vehicle components

Anybody got any guidance?

Update.. the problem may be worse than I thought. I removed the gong applied 12 volts + and negative and triggered t1, t2, t3, t4, and t5. No sound from t5 but I'm not worried about t4, and t5 as I dont have PDC. But now I'm nervous its another electrical issue as the gong is fine for t1, t2 and t3. Somewhere its not getting the correct voltage or something. Studying the schematics on WDS site now. again if anybody knows anything please assist.
Also test 13 on the obc only does 1 gong not all 3.

In case the OP doesn't respond...what is your issue?

Have you tested your GONG to see if it can replicate the tones? You don't have any model/model year/build date info...so we can't tell if you have the high or low cluster...but if you've unlocked your cluster...you can do TEST 13 to check the GONG:

Click this link to watch video of TEST 13 on a high cluster: http://youtu.be/LGiKE2pI6fI

If you have the "high" cluster...you have a 20 digit alpha/numeric display in the cluster where all the check control warning messages appear...and the display looks just like the one in the video where GONG? appears. There's also two buttons on the display...one on the left side and one on the right side.

The "low" cluster only has one button (on the left side) and uses a graphic display to show the check control warning messages...thus there's no display for strings of text (words) to appear. And to unlock the cluster and access the OBC TESTS is slightly different.

When discussing or asking questions about the instrument cluster...it helps to identify which one you have so that your responses, answers, suggestions, recommendations, etc...are based correctly on what you have.

Which sensors did you replace? The "accoustic generator" is the gong/chime itself...did you replace that?

Item #2 in the diagram below is the "gong"...is this what you replaced?

i am sorry i was inconclusive again , i will work on it to save you time ! i have exchanged all perking sensors , all click and on read out with obd code reader it says front acoustic generator off , which then brought me to : have a look if the gong is turned off , not to make a noise so to speak , i have then entered ( unlocked my obc ) and have run test 13 with no gong/chime to hear , that is where i am , so i am guessing i need to locate the gong thing and take it out and run 12 v trough it , is that right ? would you know where i find it , considering i am german but i live in the uk and my car is a uk model hence the steering wheel is on the wrong side , and mybe the position of the chime thing is not known to you , ok so that is all i can say , grateful for your help , christian
