liquimoly??
Can anyone tell me if this liquimoly is safe to use on my 04 X5 4.4i? I have bad VSS or VG and I can't fix it. I am looking for a temporary fix to stop or reduce the clouds of smoke my car lets off. Thanks in advance.

It is German. Are you talking about the oil, or something else. I put in liquimoly in my X on last oil change. My mechs had it, and I figured why the hell not, give it a shot. Month with it so far, and seems to be fine. No noises or anything. Still, next change will be Mobil. It has just always worked for me before.
I'm from Bk too. |
Cool I'm from midwood Brooklyn. I'm talking about Lubromoly lube guard*or
Liquimoly motor oil saver. Not positive of the actual name. I'm looking for the oil that will help my VVS/smoking problem. I heard it can harden and break the seals. I'm just nervous to cause further damage on this car. |
Theyre supposedly better than Mobil. I use 5W40
Whats the difference between Lubro Moly and Liqui Moly? I understand one is the North American market, isnt it? |
I use 5W30. I'm not sure what the differences are. Just want to know if it's safe and will work to stop smoking or is it garbage.
|
No it is not garbage, and a lot of people recommend it. Supposed to be the good stuff. Which shop do you go to?
|
I actually go to the dealer. Can you recommend a Indy shop in Brooklyn?

Trio Auto Center.
3413 Fort Hamilton Parkway Brooklyn, NY 11218-2152 718 - 622 -5522. Talk to Oleg, or George, tell them Dennis with the black X5 recommended you. I only go here if I can't do something myself. These guys are usually very busy, so I either go there very early in the morning, or call to make an appointment. I like them a lot because they only do what is necessary and do a very thorough job. |
Thanks slick, did you say they carry the liquimoly?
