What are the rules about bashing one of our vendors on the forum?

Hi, what are the rules about bashing one of our vendors, that even though they took care of my refund. It took me months, phone calls, left messages, and finally got the manager to approve the damn credit after trying to argue with me. It is not that it was a lot of money, but seriously, I was told it would get done the right way right away.

Oh and this is on top of me sending that vendor back goods that they shipped to me by mistake. Nearly $400 worth of stuff that I should have just kept, and put on ebay.

So just wanted to give a few pointers about this one vendor. Lets put it this way, once I use up that credit, I will not spend a dime there again.

Something like that you need to share, that's what forums are for.

Doesn't matter if it is a vendor or another member. You can't be hateful, vulgar, or threatening. Respect each other. Perhaps it depends on your definition of bashing. Keep it factual.

You appear to have done so, but I would remind others to give the vendor a chance to resolve the issue first. And if it degenerates into two very different stories from a poster and a vendor it usually stops being constructive.

There is a vendor forum here for this discussion as well

Just lay out the facts - the truth is the truth

One of the things I love about this forum is how classy the members are.

I think the right thing to do is give the vendor a chance to make things right, and if you have a Public Service Announcement that would help members here, please do a factual posting that you would also be able to say to the vendor in person.

Agreed!

One problem with complaining about a vendor, is that vendors, like women, are not consistent and predictable. :)

I had a not so good experience with a vendor about 2 months ago. Even though I felt I shouldn't, I used them again and this time I had a great experience when there was an issue that needed to be resolved.

Relating the facts is always appropriate, and helps the rest of us. Vendors have bad days just like everyone else, and there may well be two sides to the story. "Bashing" is a different matter - trying to punish a vendor with internet posts is over the line. I'd suggest stopping short of bashing.
