It looks Like Curt #57003 is what you want to adapt to LED lights and keep a 7-way plug.

I just ordered Curt #57003,
Will post my findings.

You said you made your own harness..have you tested it
With a non-LED trailer or a non-LED trailer harness tester ? Are we sure this is an LED issue?

Testers are avail cheap on-line, autozone, Walmart (great trailer section) or uhaul.

I did test it on a trailer with incandescent lights.(today)
Wiring is good.
Park lights work.
Tail and brake do not.

How do you know wiring is good? It sounds like it is not good.

you have tried two different trailer modules
you have tried two different trailers

I would put a test light on the 7-way trailer connector and if lights still don't work, put a test light on the plug inside the back of the X5? If you have the trailer module connected correctly, you should get brake and turn signals at the connector inside the X5..

Just went to a small local salvage yard and pulled a oem hitch w/ all necessary parts + bumper brace for $250.

Those 7 series 20's look pretty good.. Sorry, nothing to contribute for your problem but had to comment on the wheels.

I'll take a better picture of my harness, maybe I missed something.
I did check with a voltmeter not a test light, there's no power go through the connector (Brake & Turn) just pulses.
