Help please, new alloys, genuine or fake?
4 Attachment(s)
Hi, i have just had a new set of style 168 alloys delivered. I asked the seller many times to assure me they were genuine. he told me they were ronal and were made for bmw, I have had ronal wheels before and i know they make oem wheels for a lot of cars.
I just have my suspicions. Ronal sticker and not stamp on wheel. no bmw part numbers. various stamps on wheel inc: jw via 785kg >w-476< bmw 9 799 098 155 20%101/2jj 11+++++ et30 wheels go from alloy colour through to gunmetal grey to back. Hope someone can help. |
IMHO i think they are fake. If they were Ronal, why would they put a BMW stamp on it? It's either one or the other.

Worried now

Actually taking a better look at the COA, there are errors on the certificate. With such a big company, you would think they would have someone checking how a certificate is drafted. It really should read:These wheels come with a one year warranty against structural integrity and paint degradation. or something to that effect.

"These wheels come with one years warranty".:rofl:
|
So I'll take that as fake then?
Got them from supersportwheels.co.uk |
Easy telltale right in the pic. No front stampings

front stampings?
|
There usually be stamp on the front of the wheel around the bolt holes.
Here is a real set http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/par...20-wheels.html |
Your second picture has so many dents, markings, scratches(?), etc. painted over. There is no way that these could be BMW OEM wheels. Sorry.
