My 2006 4.8 doesn't have either.

My 2004 doesn't have nav or heated steering either. Of course, really don't need a heated steering wheel in Texas!

Just for comparison. I got my 2006 4.8is with 75k miles, couple of weeks with CPO still left. No heated steering, no sliding trunk, no running boards, but everything else, with comfort seats.

PPI, dealer fees, auction inspection (car bought and taken to auction for inspection, and to get processed through auction, including UV body inspection), delivery from Florida, registration, taxes, everything, for $26,011.00 total.

2004 4.8is here. No load floor, no heated steering. I would think heated steering is pretty rare in the US on a (any) SPP X5. I did have the load floor on my '04 3.0. FWIW, I found it the least used option of any car I've owned.

Bought my 4.8is from a BMW dealer last year with 11K miles and paid a premium for the mileage. Though it appears from the prices here that I paid a bit below market price for it.

We bought our Lemans Blue '05 4.8is back in February, through the dealer auction for $18.9k and shipping was $730. I think it had 89k on the clock when we got it. Keep in mind that this was wholesale price. The dealer had it on the lot for ~ $23k
Ours has the heated steering wheel and seats, alcantara seats bluetooth Navi and DSP.

This truck is awesome. I'd jump on that deal if I were you... the alcantara seats alone make it worth it... they are sooo nice. :thumbup:

Just came across this discussion...I'm looking at a 2006 4.8is with 43,00 on it with a dealer after market warranty that covers everything "CNA." Donoe the research. Seller wants $28,799. Thoughts?

Worth every penny especially if it has service records. That is a great find. Good luck and post some pics when you get it.

I was in the same boat a few years back, I bought the 2005 X5 with 56k for 27K (in 2010).

I thought i was paying a premium and did find some for a few $K less, however after 2 years it's been awesome..other than the Dead battery and oil changes did not have to do anything (now at 79K Miles), I would recommend going for the one with complete records and making sure you have the PPI done cause in the long run saving 1K does'nt mean much ...the repairs are pretty $$$$$.
