Question about my 05 4.8is Transmission

Hi guys, so I just did a transmission service/flush on my X. I drained the old fluid and put in new BMW Trans fluid, the one especially for the 4.8is. I only put about 4 quarts back in, I guess thats how much came out, but I have two quarts left. I did this on Saturday, it is now Wednesday. My question is that sometimes the trans kicks when shifting down gears. Say going into a turn, it kicked one time (only a little) but then yesterday I went to really give it to it and it kicked extremely hard. Then today I turned the car on and the check engine went on and gave me the code P1334. Can anyone tell me what this code is? I read on bimmerforums that one guy did the trans service and reset and updated his transmission when his did the same things, and apparently it stopped. Will this solve my problem? And also, the car tends to break using the gears (downshifting) when going at higher speeds, especially downhill. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks a lot,
Danny

F**k i hope resetting it and updating it fixes everything because I'm going through the exact same thing right now after I flushed my transmission. I'm keeping my finger crossed

Are you going to try it? I am going to see if the other 2 quarts I have will go into my trans, maybe it will help. Hopefully going to do it a little later today. And by any chance do you know how much it costs to update the trans? I've reset it a couple times before!

Guys, fluid level in these tranny's needs to be perfect or they will malfunction. I would not recommend just pouring fluid in until it spills out. Search this site for the specific amount and hopefully that fixes the issues. The tranny may also need to relearn your driving tendencies as well.

I poured in as much as it came out. I got 6 containers, which is how much is supposed to be in there. And I thought of that too, but even if it did need to relearn the driving patter, it wouldn't kick like it did.
Thanks though

P1334??? No code listed in the Bentley for ANY version of the E53 model. You may want to double check the code and post if it's different then P1334.

It may have been 1434!!

fixed the issue! The plug had moved when i was filling the trans. Just found this out when I put it on the lift. Flushed it again and moved the plug back, let out about another liter. Put new fluid back in, an extra liter too, and it seems to be driving much better now. Check engine went away too, it was the torque converter.

I don't understand. The check engine light went out but you know it was the torque converter. I'm seriously worried about having this transmission pulled out and worked on. It sounds like a jigsaw puzzle inside and a hefty bill at the end.
