Costco. We just went back to the OEM Michelins on our 18s. They're cheaper than anyone else, and at the same time, that price includes lifetime mounting/balancing, lifetime rotations, lifetime roadhazard, etc.

no one picked up that he said thread was showing  - should have been replaced before that happens - must not have too much left as far as groove depth goes - I hope he does not think even wear is thread showing all across the tire :dunno: - I do agree with the Michelins, one of the few things the French got right

you mean cord? really you should be watching for the wear bars.. the little bars between the tread blocks in various places on the tire... when they tread blocks are down to their level, its time for new tires, after that you get nylon cord... then you get steel belts and a fast blow out...

and trust me, you don't want to feel any of that at speed in a corner on a track...

When I said even wear, I meant that both rears are at the same state. Of course the outter sidewall doesn't look like the inner wall. And yes I am aware of the wear bars on the tire. I was hoping to get another month out of them. The cord on the inner sidewall is just starting to peek through on both rears. Had I known that these tires were wearing on the inside, I would've replaced them prior to now....It's a good thing that I wash the X at least 2 or 3 times a week or else I would not have noticed this.....Phil
