Mine is like that on my passenger side door, I have the silver trim, noticed it late last year, haven't touched it out of fear it may break...lol!!

Fixed the gap on all mine also. Like a fool when I replaced the door speakers, I installed the trims wrong. Looks much better now.

any solution on the floor skid plates? Mine for some reason are separated a bit also
