I took out 6 bolts none of which held a sway bar link. I wonder if my car is missing something :dunno:

AFAIK, the metal skid plate doesnt necessarily keep the sways attached, it is a structural component that adds rigidity to the subframe, so if it is removed it should be replaced and new bolts that are torqued properly are supposed to be used.
