Need your car info, year, engine size etc...
|
Not likely.
It is more likely that your look-up skills or your parts source's transcription skills failed you. Where did you buy it from? |
Was the PO the original owner of the X? Did you get a carfax before buying the car? I would say that you got rip off if you brought a V8 and the engine in the car was a 6.

2001 bmw x5 4.4 last 7 number of vin LH06784
|
i bought it from an old man private sale he said the x was sitting in the cottage for like 5 yrs
|
so i don't think it was my look up skills
|
well the old man i bought it from said he was original owner..and that was my mistake not getting a carfax.. and if it was a v6 that would suck but i know it is a V8 100%

The fan clutch is listed as requiring a matching fan. Did you order the matching fan? Perhaps it was changed up in the parts system, and has a different bore but the same outside diameter. |
yeah it was made 04/2000 came out for 2001 model .. and well the fan broke on me so the shop ordered the fan but not the fan clutch he told me to order it my self and then he would put it in
