Don't do it. ECU limlits the torque and power on low rpms to save your 5-speed tranny.

Deleting of this limitation would bring you alot of low end torque but also very soon you'll get your gerabox broken.

The absolute power gains would be rather modest - in best case you'll achieve the manufactureres claims on a honest dyno.

Mike, are you talking about updating your EWS and DME to a newer software version?

I would go on bimmerforums and bimmerfest, and ask those that have the ability to do coding. If I were still in Seattle, I'd tell you to come over. Maybe in the summer when I go back to visit family.
