Has anyone tried these. Im looking to update my x5. I'd like to see some pics and get an opinion. Im new here and would like some input. Thanks

I don't think these are approved by the DOT in NJ (by "these" I mean the clear color you have posted above), but I have the red/smoked LED tails and they are pretty nice.
|
I have the same as those but smoked. A billion threads on these lights as well if ya search a bit.
|
yuck on the clear ones.
get the red/smoked or red/clear, i have red/clear and love them. |
Couldn't find any posts on the clear ones. I'll look again, but I probably go with the red smoked thanks guys

I don't understand those clear lights, they have the slightest bit of red so it takes away from the clear look which I don't really like to begin with. The red/clear LEDs do look fantastic though and are a nice way to update the E53s dated rear end
|
I thought about that too. Red smoked is the way to go.
|
what is the exterior color of your ride? clear might look OK on white or silver, might look too ricy on the dark color... smoked one will look OK on both light and dark colors... chamces are that the lights will be OK legally as long as they light up "properly" - red for brakes and parking light, red or amber for turn signal, clear for reverse. you can get rid of the egg yolk effect by using titanium light bulbs (or OE lights from a dealer)

My X is black. I thought the clear would look nice. But i just saw a thread with the smoked red and I like how it looks.

I love the way my smoked clears look on my black X5. Exactly the look I was going for with out completely blacking the tails out. Just gotta fix that damn rear roundel and get a plate cover now lol
