Where have you looked?
Everywhere except the trunk
Are you trying to say that the "AUX" shows up when you cycle modes on the nav? and you just cant find the phisical part of it to plug the music into? maybe take radio out and trace where the wire is going to. it stems off of a connector thats part of the wire loom going to the radio
do you need a pinout for the AUX? it is connector X322 in the radio harness in the trunk... I'll need to double check the pinout info...

that's correct. I know I could remove the radio and trace it but I didn't wanna have to do that |
so, the regular location in the glove compartment - no connector? I would think, it would be closer to the driver, within a hand reach, right?
center console, sides of the center console, armrest, ashtray, the seat frame... assuming, that it was fully installed and just connected to the radio and then curled up in the trunk... I was under impression that you did not have AUX in your "mode" options... i guess i was wrong... :) |
yea I can't find the connection. your saying it might be in the trunk? my next step is removing the radio
you don't need to remove the radio, just look at the big, square plug that has smaller plugs incorporated into it... you should see a separate cable going into that plug with only three wires (the other cables have more wires in there... )
I don't understand you could you either post a pic or go into more detail
i am at work, no picture... :(
when you pull the spare tire, the air ride pump, the electronics cover - you will see the L-shaped module carrier next to the battery. in the carrier, on the left, is a radio module, that has a big, fat, square plug. if you look closer at the plug, you will notice that the big fat plug actually consists of smaller plugs inside the big one... one of the smaller plugs will be the AUX, it will have three wires and should have a 3-pin plug (it may also have three wires inside a 6-pin plug, the other spots inside the 6-pin plug are empty)... trace that wire, as it is probably the AUX cable that you are looking for... do you know how to get to the battery compartment? |
