Lower trunk won't open
 

I'm able to open the top half but not the bottom half. When I press the button it makes the noise but doesn't move. The only way I could get it open is if I push it towards the front of the car and kind of wiggle it back and forth while pressing the button and only if I'm lucky it opens

I would lube the latch mechanism on the lower tailgate. Sounds like the button is working and a sticky latch

I was waiting for the rain to stop to do that

did you try lube the lower tailgate locks or was it something else thanks

What happens if you try to "manually" open the tailgate? Perhaps something is hanging up?

I didn't have to do anything it just starting working fine the next day
