Only thing I saw that was tasteless was the after market headlights.

Aren't those the Depo UHP angel eye lights with clear corners that a lot of people rave about here?:dunno:

No I don't and thank you T for clearing it up, I can understand the way you installed is clean and not just a stereo shop quick splice job.

I guess I understand for long trips with the kids, maybe I'm just in between the having kids stage and being young stage, but when I had to go on road trips with the family, before everyone had an iPad, laptop, cell phone with data plan, etc, I had 3 things for my entertainment/to do while on road trips with my family.

1) Portable CD Player with headphones to listen to music (now has been replaced by iPod, but I used to have the old Sony Discman lol)
2) Reading of books, magazines, etc (Reading is fundamental)
3) Sleep

I guess it just sort of saddens me that the norm nowadays is to have the kids be watching tv/movies and having a constant source of entertainment in the car, as opposed to reading books, etc like I used to. And I just turned 27, I'm far from an "old guy". I guess times they are a changin'.

Jay, you are cracking me up!!!

when I was a kid, there were no internet, cell phones, talk back to parents (or any adult), if i would get out of line (or so they think!!) i'd have my a$$ whipped, and if the need be, the whipping could commence in front of strangers, and in front of cops, who would cheer my grandma (she did most of my whipping) to make sure that i grow up straight... No child abuse services, nothing like that...

My entertainment was to count how many Ladas i saw today, or how many volgas... sometimes i still play that game, count how many buicks i would see today or whatnot...
the alternative to that was, playing with the radio, looking for Radio Monte Carlo on the short wave radio - standard in those cars... lol..

for God sake, there were no seat belts in the car, i was riding the front seat, and even flew out the car once when the door lock did not latch and grandma did a number on the road... she drove like a maniac, on the sidewalks, against the traffic... there were only two female drivers in the 1.5 million people city... lol...

she had the blue one like on this picture i found on line - 1968 or 1969... and then, she got a yellow one, like on the other picture, that one is about 1975 or 1976... the yellow one is the one i flew out of...

I'm actually considering something like this now. Could you post a specific model number and where you got yours, price, experience with other headrests, etc., and include some picts? Feel free to send a PM or start a new thread. From my research so far, reviews are all over the place on these aftermarket head rests. Thanks!
