Alarm Siren Not working
 

Hey guys,

My alarm siren isn't working, I've tried searching online and can't find anything in regards to this other than replacing the siren, which I did. I bought a new siren and nothing, can someone please tell me if there is a fuse for the siren and where is it located? Any other option as what can be wrong?

Owners manual lists fuse locations & each location has fuse index. When I can get to a real CPU I'll post better info.

BTW, when you say alrem is not working...does that mean if you were to LOCK the vehicle, then press & hold down the tailgate release button...the panic feature won't set-off the alarm siren? Or if you were to roll the windows down, lock the vehicle with the remote, wait 30 seconds, then stick your arms/hands inside the vehicle and wave them around...the alarm wouldn't go off?


Or do you mean that you don't here the arm/disarm chirp of the siren when you lock & unlock the vehicle?

Here's some info and pics regarding fuse locations...you don't have any vehicle details (model/model year/build date) listed...so some of the fuse locations may be slightly different since the pics are from my 2006 4.4i:

Hi, there is no noise coming from the siren at all, I am looking at the fuse list and its mentioning fuse 46, and I don't see a fuse 46 at all

Oh, and I have a 2002 E53 3.0

Sorry, I meant fuse 36

Are you looking at the fuse index in your 2002 3.0 glove box...or at the fuse index I posted of my 06 4.4i?

There could be differences due to the model & model year...check the fuse index in your glove box and rear cargo area. :)

And if the fuse location diagram has a "-" in the square for that fuse number...then it means that the fuse location in your X5 is blank. If you haven't figured out...the fuses are listed alphabetically, and then the illustration shows the fuse nbr location (within the fuse box) and it's amperage.

Hi, okay so are you saying that the fuse diagram is in order to the actual fuses themselves?

Would anyone know if I am missing any fuses from the photo I have posted?
