Any BMW vehicle can go thru Individual program, all it takes is $s That Russian link gave me a headache.

Too many $$$$ for me.
I can think of lots of downsides and not many positives. Buyer will not have seen the color on a existing X5 so it might look good on paper but look bad on delivery. It may look good on delivery but bad in a year as the trend in hot colors change, special order anything will narrow the market if you decide to sell, likely will have to be priced below worth to sell, harder match if any repaint is necessary, the special color will invite a negative opinion from a lot more people because it is not a color they normally associate, have seen, on an X5-- I have repainted a vehicle using special paint that I liked and others complimented but a year later it was so dated I didn't want to take it out of the garage, had a cover over it so I didn't have to see it. |
Love the gunmetal!

Pearlescent must have come a long way. It used to be extremely difficult to make it look good if you had to do any repainting. Cadillac has a pearl option so I'm guessing that problem is a thing of the past.
Fascinating to walk around in the sun. |

I've never liked pearl products on flat/edgy vehicles like the Caddys, the vehicle needs curves/radiused scallops to properly display pearls. The E53 has the proper body shape to pull it off. A BMW 850CSi would not do pearl justice either. |

FYI, tomorrow is Cars and Coffee Saturday. Also, there are usually a couple of vipers and always Corvettes from classics to the latest if you want to go either of those routes. |

EDIT: I retract my statement...it wasn't an X5 Individual...it was just a "special package" X5. Here's a link: http://www.xoutpost.com/951147-post44.html |
