will not flow with your color scheme in my opinion, you'll look like an 80s thug with gold wheels.

Why not get the black/white roundels to take the blue out and you'll have a black/green theme going, if you're looking for something to do? (Although I think your X looks great and the silver 87s with the chrome window trims give it really nice contrast!)

Agree. Gold wheels won't look good with the chrome trim. Even doing gold trim makes it look '80s.

I went with black/silver carbon fiber roundels on the body and wheels to match the black/silver body/molding/trim.....

+1

Do not want.

But then, I don't understand black wheels, either. Now, a deeper gray or black with some medium flake in it.. THAT may pique the interest.

I knew my fellow "Fresh, Clean, OEM+ look only" brothers (PropellerHead and TiAgX5) would not be far behind in posting resounding opinions

Artem, if your X were mine, since you already have the chrome window trims and silver 87s, I'd do the Titan silver front grills (hood vents, front kidneys, and lower mesh grills) to have a really classy Titan Silver/silver wheels/chrome trims look that will make your Oxford Green POP, and plus I have not seen many green X's as is, but even less rock the all Titan grills (looks very iS, in my opinion)

Cisco dipped his wheels gold on his black X5

pezho405, your PS picture of Gold PDip is off. They are not that yellow.
You would have to dip your grills and window trims in gold to match.

To color or not to color your wheels, that is the question.

Color is always a personal preference.

What's nice about plasti-coat it can be removed with no harm to the wheels.

If you would like to have gold wheels the key to the best look is, in your case, a gold toward the green side of gold. An easy way to see the difference in gold options is to paint a piece of sheet metal the current color of your wheels and then paint the metal golds with different tints. Holding over the color of your X in the sunlight will highlight what side of a color wheel the gold is tinted. The gold that is toward the green side will be most pleasing to the majority of onlookers over time and likely to you as well.

Chrome is neutral to all colors but if you paint the wheels and don't like the chrome trim plasticoat it. Would tie nicely if it matched the side pillar black.

I have seen color combinations at car shows that I would never consider that have gathered a crowd of admirers. Gold wheels won't be a mainstream choice but who is trying to make there vehicle look like everybody else has?

I do think you will enjoy a wheel color that accentuates the green of your X more as it a subtle, passive color that deserves to be more easily noticed.
