Got it but do you know the answer to my question?

I do not know the answer to your question but a VOM might go a long way in finding the 12V and GND wires in the connector. Honestly, you might consider starting a new thread describing your issue instead of bumping a 7 year old thread.

newtis.info has all the wiring schematics for your X so have a look over there as well.

What’s a VOM, pardon my ignorance?

VOM

Thanks, I understand now.

I did check with a volt meter and found the right pins.

Now to splice the wires to get access to the right pins.

Its great that you are looking at this thread.

We are all here happy to help new members. That's one of the reasons for suggesting a new thread so you get specific answers to your questions. Some of the veterans on here know those door electronics inside and out.

Hi Mujahid,
Can you let me know what pins you are referring to on the black connector which has the +12v and 0v which I can use?

Usually, the big red cable is +ve.
