any idea why the radio with sudden loud cracking even thought is power off

i replaced my driver side front regulator (LH), reconnected the battery, went on a test drive and everything worked properly - later that evening i went to get something from the cabin and the driver door wouldn’t open from the inside or outside

i tried the method of pushing the lock mechanism with a piece of coat hanger bent perpendicular at the end but had no success.

today i tried powering the actuator with 12v on what i guessed were pins 12 and 6 - i could hear the door mechanism move (or attempt to move) each time i powered it (using a bench power supply) but it’s still locked. is there a technique or step i missed?


removed door window switch
disconnected all harness
put a wire in pin hole 12
touched leads to wires
heard door mechanism moving or attempting to
wouldn’t drive the door lock pin to the up position either

was just about to start replacing a bunch of front end suspension parts but need this fixed first, any insight is appreciated 🤓

ended up prying the door panel away from the top and the down the side towards the back of the truck, barely able to get my hand in there and take off the airbag then freed up the door by pulling the door handle cable! holy sh** that was a pain - but the door is open ��
