HELP! Just rolled down passenger window and wont go back up !!

This is a bummer! I can tell my driver and passenger window switches are working.. It will move up and down a few millimeters... Slip under the seal and go up far enough to peak out about 1-2 millimeters.. Tried to grab it with pliers and roll it up with button but its not budging.. Just read the how to on removing door panel and that seems like a total pain in the butt! Before this there was no sign anything was wrong or about to happen.. Any advice:dunno:

More than likely your clips for the glass on the regulator broke. They are cheap, about 10 bucks on amazon. Quick fix: stick a small flat head at the edge of the window, start applying pressure to the glass pushing it to roll up. For example, if it was your passenger side front door, you will stick the flat head at the edge closest to the door jamb. Start rolling up (do it with car on for more power) you will be basically pushing the glass towards the front of the vehicle to clear the rubber seal. Once you get it up about 3 inches guide it with your hand. Dont roll it down all the way until you fix it.

Thanks for the fast reply.. I went out there and messed with it a bit, but didnt want to get too carried away untill i checked back..
So flathead on the inside of the glass as far back as i can get it and push up and out towards the outside of door? I tried to get a real skinny one inside on the edge and push forward but not much play back there...

Give me a second. I have this exact issue on my X5. I'll upload a quick video of what I am talking about.

BMW Window Regulator FRONT Clip X5 3.0i 4.4i 4.6 00-06 : Amazon.com : Automotive

They are cheap, and if you google how to replace them, it doesn't seem so hard. I haven't done it because I have been busy with other issues on my car to really worry about this one. But I have the clips and if you have amazon prime, they are fast shipped.

same clips from my dealer are under a dollar a piece... but, in CA, i have heard, they can be $5 a piece from a dealer...
