Dumb ?, but what color is Swartz? Is it the stock oe grid that's on my X now?

Yes, schwartz is a BMW reference for black. My stock mesh is black but is missing grids and painting it would make them more noticeable. I'm thinking about getting the one I linked to. Only downside is having to remove the front bumper to gain access.

Thanks for the link and info. I will go ahead and order this soon since in a few wks, im going to have to do some repair that might require the bumper to come off. I will report back if there's anyway to avoid removing the bumper. But i too thinks it's unlikely.

Cadesto- how's the bottom grid- how's the fit/quality?

JC, the bumper seems to be in of itself not overly difficult to remove other than having quite a few bolts to take off. But it would be nice if I didn't have to go that route to swap the bumper mesh.

Stainless metal mesh is my next step, I never think of it until its on a lift and then I really see it. Ive got one slat missing out of the whole thing.

I wish I'd have done it when I had the bumper off. Way easier.
