CHEAP lower bumper mesh!!!!

F*** realoem, ebay etc..

Parts.com is were its at..

Just bought:
Bumper Inserts (Front Mesh)
51117116398 /Right - small top
51117116397 /Left - small top
51117111767 /Bottom - long

Each piece was only a little over $20 a piece ( in black / schwartz)
The big bottom one was actually the cheapest..

Now if i can only figure out how to make them bullet/rock/bird proof.

Enjoy!

Parts.com huh? Never been there. Should check it out. But you can't order parts from realoem.com anyways, its just a parts and exploded diagram ref. But those prices sound good.

Home depot - Search Results for*metal mesh*at The Home Depot

cut to size, paint to desired color - bird proof, rock proof... not bullet proof... :(

RealOEM is just a parts reference guide....and as a free resource, is invaluable for many across the BMW community.

I replaced my lower mesh last year, it already has a broken "slat", thing that sucks is the pre-facelift titan mesh (what I have, for sport package) is like $110.

If it busts any further I'll get some metal mesh from home depot and remove that friggin plastic piece.

If my piece was as cheap as the facelifts i'd have no problem swapping them

Ya these parts are listed on ebay for 165 right now..
Didnt realize that about realoem.. Still part prices would total at least 150.
What happened to bmwpartsgiant? They seem to have dissappeared.

Be mindful that those steel mesh products from HD will rust over time. Unless you could find some stainless mesh I'd stay away.

Yeah. Get woven stainless steel mesh instead. Pricey but it'll last a lifetime and look great!

Aparently parts.com doesn't offer those parts for a 2001 X5 4.4 :(

same here for my 2005. Hay op, what year is your X? according to the pn you listed for the bottom mesh, parts.com listed the same part but also noted that can not verify that it will be compatible?

I have a small broken mesh only on left side that's beginning to become an eye sore. Any other alternatives fellas?

Thanks
