Thanks dkl. you just made my life much easier. I found it easier to drill a hole in my much newer subaru legacy than in this truck lol. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
My initial plan was to install it in the glovebox and use the secret power source below the glovebox for charging and leave it there and never unplug it. 1. The stretch from the driver seat was too much. 2. I wasnt sure if the ipod would stay charging, thus slowing draining the battery |

i wired mine to the center armrest area, where the CD/cassette holder is (some have deep holder). I have an iLive BT dongle connected to the AUX input, so the android phone connects wirelessly to the AUX... the install is not finished, as I am planning on using a Y-splitter for the AUX... I built my own AUX cable, as I was too cheap to pay $50 for a $5 worth of wires...
you could see some of my crude pictures in my "4.8 to do/done list" thread... |

Here is the location of my auxiliary jack. The previous owner I bought my car from installed this along with two tv's in the seats and a tv in the passenger visor. And yes ik my car is a bit dirty.....

Under the glove box in the passenger footwell. Out of sight, yet reachable
