help with inactive suspension light
inp shop cant seem to fix my self level system, had new front bags new control module, car is in normal level now but wont go up or down now that the inactive light came on it was working fine only thing I noticed was when I put it in acces mode green light would not stop flashing but car would lower this is when inactive suspension light came on:dunno:
|
i had inactive suspension message when it was cold, car would not go up nor down, level was fine, no sagging... connected INPA, read error code, raised/lowered car manually with INPA, cleared error, everything was fine... until next cold weather... did the same "procedure", back to normal...

thanks for the reply so maybe this is due to the cold weather,i guess I should never put car into acess mode:dunno:

You'd need the diagnostic tool to read the code. The one that Term used.

Read the error the module was throwing, clear the codes. You might have a burnt out compressor if your bags were leaking for a long time before getting replaced. The compressor will be burnt out of spec but the car will hold the level, but it will throw an error rendering the ride control inactive and have the error on your dash.
Use DIS/INPA to read the codes the module is throwing and let us know. I'm guessing bc the error came up when trying to lower the car that you might have a compressor burnt out, but wont know unless you read the codes and post them. |
The code the ind gave me is code 0074 thanks for help

Does anyone know if this is a code for a fault in air suspension, ind gave me this over the phone just had it fixed there for this problem, thanks

Jesus man there is no readout with that?
If 0074 coordinates with my error after my bags were replaced when I read the module with DIS, you do in fact need to do the air compressor repair. My code was EHC74 accumulator filling requested pressure remains constant. I swapped my compressor out for a new one and have had perfect operation for over a year now. The rebuild kits were not available readily then, and I found a gently used compressor. Search eBay for "wabco compressor rebuild kit" and you'll find it for about 50 bucks. Should fix your issues. |
thanks ricky ,have to try to fix ,the light on all the time is making me nuts
