You're right and yes my CD player is still working. I'm asking for someone else.
As far as iTunes is concerned I use it as well. Always nice to have a choice
downloading out of print/not on CD music. But I don't download it in the
MP3 format. There are other hi resolution formats.

@-quick how's the hunt coming along, have you found any unit? and pardon me for thread jacking :( there's just so many options out there, i rather ask the pros.

@Hi ukrcan, would you happen to recall the spec model you purchased. There seems to be a few models with diff range in price.:dunno:
i only want to play music/mp3 as i also have built in bluetooth too.
also, have you ran into any complications with your unit such as the steering wheel controls, display and incoming calls through the speakers?

I liked it enough that I got it for both the X5 and the Mcoupe. Got all my music on a 32GB stick! I'm currently only using the USB stick...still contemplating with adding the BT module. The nice thing is that it also support Android and iOS devices if you get the attached accessories.

That one is mounted at the front of the car. The one I have is the one that replace the CD Changer in the trunk. If you have DSP you will need to get the adapter to connect to the power amp which is located in the left rear cubby. If you don't have DSP I guess you can use this one.

In addition to what "upallnight" said, this unit only include an AUX cable. It cannot do USB thumb drive. So...it's fine if you just want an AUX input.
