Jek889... Looks Great! Can't wait to see the post explaining how to do it! W/ more Pictures..maybe one at night also! What kind of 'colour' does the 8000 give off? Is this more like the purplish colour of the OEM xenons? If you don't mind me asking how much $$, total for the job and where did you buy everything. I obviously want to do this mod to my 02 w/out xenon.

Rings are next on my radar.

Again, Great Job..looks awesome.

An 8000K bulb will put out a more purplish color. Mind you that this is actually POORER lighting than OEM. When the Kelvin temperature is between 4300 and 5000, it is in the range of true sunlight. 6000K and anything higher like 8000K is purely for looks, and has no actual lighting advantage.

EDIT: OEM is mid-4000K.

bought it on eBay for $35 shipped. Good quality product, but the seller is no longer register on eBay. :dunno:

I found the full write up including price and source for parts in the Interiors section of the home page of X5 world. The actual dealer for my kit was called Bavarian Motorwerks on Ebay.

It's not actuallly a Xenon kit. It's a 8000K HID kit w/ballasts I purchased w/ regular H7 bulb that has 2 wires coming out back. I have to do some modifications to the OEM socket to make the bulbs fit in the OEm non-Xenon headlight. Really love the result
