New mods for my X5
3 Attachment(s)
1. Gauge rings: one of the easiest mod to DIY. The only hard part is to take the cluster cover apart to put the rings in there, but it can be done w/ patience. One of the cheapest mod that make the most impact on the interior.
2. HID headlight: I have a non-xenon headlight. Purchased an 8000K HID kit off a seller on eBay for $280.00. Modified the OEM socket to accept the H7 HID bulb. The result is very satisfied. I might not have some of the xenon headlight options, but I like the light output better with mine. Will post more pics later. Next mod: Angel eyes kit and painted housing. Stay tuned. |
Good job on the mods!

A relative Noob here, but we have a similar eye for mods. My chrome rings should come in tomorrow for install! Great work on your mods with a clean finish! I'm also looking into Xenon upgrades up front, & wondering what options are not available with an upgrade kit like the 1 you installed. Are these options only available when upgrading with OEM parts? Lookin' good, man.

Looks great.....these chrome rings are next on my radar.

Your rings look great! I agree that it is an easy mod. and really sets off the guages. Makes it look like a 4.8 (which has them standard, I think). I got mine for abot $39 w/shipping and it was one of the best and cheapest mods. for my X.
