BMW electronics are very sensitive to voltage changes, you can get a variety of error messages that are misleading.
For that reason and because it is easy to do and should be free, I would take both batteries back to the store you bought the new one and have them load tested. Even if the battery takes a charge that does not mean it is good. If the charged battery will start your X then I would read the alternator voltage output from the OBC by unlocking the cluster. Regardless of the result I would still have the battery(s) load tested. |

I am charging the BMW battery that was in the truck and see what happens. After that I will proceed to other test. But I wanted to point out that I AM NOT hearing any noise from the fuel pump. It does not make any noise. |

The clicking sound--is it a single click when your try to start it or is it a constant clicking? I would take the new battery back and have them test it. I would eliminate the battery from possible causes of the no start. As it is you don't know if either battery is any good and trying to charge them will not be conclusive. |
The X won't start. What could it be
The next thing i would do is take it to the dealer let them diagnose the X as you should know you will receive a print out of the issues and what needed to be fix to correct the problem them take it back and get it fix or you do the repairs yourself if possible.
