Is there any iPhone app to measure acceleration by using WiFi OBD2 adapter? I've got Carly WiFi interface.

ELM 327 and Torque Pro
Just got a ELM 327 cheapie clone and the Torque Pro app for my cell. Tried it on my 2003 X5 and it seems to be working, sort of.... I scanned for faults and it came back with "zero", but none of the real time gauges were displaying any data, i.e. pointers all zero'd out. Don't know if I should try another interface, or be happy I can read the fault codes....
Are there any mid-priced 327 clones, somewhere between a $5 Chinese knock-off and a $$$ name brand interface? |
I use this ELM 327 Bluetooth adapter on my E46 and E53 and it works with all OBDII protocols. It worked with Torque Pro but I now use OBD Fusion. It seems to have a little more power that the Torque app. I like the logging feature.
About $10.00 https://www.walmart.com/ip/ELM327-OB...&wl13=&veh=sem https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/632...0&odnBg=FFFFFF |
Here is a pic of the unit I purchased, it was about $8.00. I would avoid, based on inability to read real time data; no fuel pressure, coolant temp, etc.:

I'm confused. The OBDII module connects through the phone or tablet via Bluetooth. The 2004 date you suggest has no bearing on your phone or tablet connecting to the Bluetooth OBDII module. As long as you have a Bluetooth OBDII module and a phone or tablet that supports Bluetooth you should be able to have Torque or OBD Fusion work. :dunno:
BTW, Bluetooth was announced in 1998 |

The software and what its running on is the issue normally. So if its not working look at the phone, obd2 dongle or the program your trying to run it with not the car. |
I remember another issue I had with the obd2 Bluetooth module that I have. It is so low profile to keep it out of the way I guess it has problems seating onto some obd2 ports. I had to press it into the plug extra hard to get it to work sometimes when I first got it. It loosened up with usage.
