hey everyone back again for another round of P1093 and P1419 codes appearing together. the last time I had this issue on our 2005 3.0i was 2016. I believe the cleaning of the idle control valve resolved both codes.

4 years and about 50,000 miles later and the two codes have just appeared together over the past few weeks. I may clean the ICV again and report back if this resolves the issue.

Wow, a six-year-old thread of mine.

Yes, I just replaced the ICV. I cleaned the ICV but decided not to use it. The video of how to clean the ICV is a video that I found on Youtube. I didn't bother to film the cleaning of the ICV.

I filmed it; here's my video of cleaning the ICV on the M54:

Thought I would update this thread. Cleaning the ICV the second time did not resolve the code. I later smoke tested the intake and found one small vacuum line not fully connected on the lower intake boot - must be unrelated. The code returned.

I replaced both pre-cat oxygen sensors, erased code, it returned.

Finally, yesterday, I replaced the idle control valve with a new Bosch unit from FCP Euro along with its strange grey gasket that inserts into the intake manifold. Erased the code with my scan tool. The code returned in 28 miles.

Not sure what is next for this P1093

What type of live data are you getting for the MAF?
